What We Do

Sparklight Support Services assist persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to become independent, self-sufficient, and active participants within their community. Our service

model is focused on one person at a time and helps people we support discover their passions, access social and recreational opportunities, and flourish. 

The Personal Supports and Supported Living model is designed to meet the needs of everyone we serve through the Circle of Support System. Circle of Support is a system where people meet regularly with a shared vision to support a focused person and accomplish life goals. 

The person, or the designee, leads the process and decide who will participate in the circle. In a circle system, the person has control over their own life, with the team properly facilitating a

culture that reinforces independence and self-determination. 

The Circle members may include family, friends, and other community members. These members participate on a volunteer basis and have a sincere drive to see the focus person succeed. This group will meet regularly as decided upon by the person to share experiences, encourage autonomy, community involvement, and assist the person in establishing and maintaining natural support. 

The circle meeting is in line with the focus person’s annual Person-Centered Plan developed with their team.
